The review for Oliver! came out this morning, with a little creative elipsis we can either have:

"...the tunes drag on...tragically fled from a comic operetta...unfortunate...brutish..."

or

"Amy Cooper and Randal Cooper--married in real life--play the unfortunate Nancy and her brutish boyfriend Bill Sykes with superb voices and consummate skill."
