Update
Thanks to everyone for all the kind words and thoughts. Amy's up and around a little bit, no longer hooked up to any tubes, taking percoset every few hours. I hit the Chinese take-out across the street from the hospital for dinner, and the broccoli in garlic sauce was excellent.
Hopefully, Amy will be feeling well enough to come home tomorrow. I'd feel a lot more comfortable leaving town Sunday if she were at home and I didn't have to worry about her being discharged from the hospital.
On Sunday (barring complications) I'll be leaving to go to China for a week and half. I'll do what I can to honor last-minute souvenir requests, but I'll probably be online only sporadically on the trip. I will update when I can, however, and bring back lots of pictures.

Did Amy get the flowers? The flower place has sent me a survey, but I can't fill it out.
Don't forget to pack your toothbrush and plenty of clean underwear. Might want to throw in a travel shampoo for the suitcase, don't know about those Chinese hotels, will there be sample sizes of stuff? And shaving stuff. And deodorant. And your passport. Hairdryer?
Anyway. I hope Amy gets to come home today. That'd be better.

China sounds fun. For a souvenir, would it be possible for you to bring me all the rice they have there? That would be swell.

Hope all goes well for you in China.
