Well, at least we can see "There Will Be Blood."

A question upon examining the movies on the Malco Theatre web site (checking times for Cloverfield):

Why come the folks in Jonesboro can still go see American Gangster and us folks in Memphis can't?

This question is made more compelling when you realize that there are six screens showing Alvin and The Chipmunks.

Marcus Theatres are, basically, the only choice for movie viewing in the metro-Milwaukee area. They're not playing Cloverfield. But the sole AMC theater is, so I'll be going there if I feel the need to see Home Movie Godzilla. (I have no idea if this is correct, it's my impression from the trailers.)

Alvin and the Chipmunks? Is playing at 4 theaters, including the AMC and 2 of the Marcus theaters.

Because Jonesboro is just awesome, that's why. We're prolly the only place in the world where you can still see August Rush for full price, too! I think that one's DVD already being advertised on the placards concealing Wal-Mart's theft-alert system.
