(no subject)

Is anyone interested in a weekly wrap-up, like the one I did earlier of [livejournal.com profile] samethreechords's friends page? In the interest of maintaining privacy I'd not summarize anything that was friends-only or otherwise filtered, and I'd leave out memes, unless there was a clever way to summarize 'em. Mind you, I might be a little mocking, or get things wrong, and there's the possibility that a single-sentence summary of a long heartfelt post might seem trivializing, and you could get your feelings hurt unintentionally. No guarantees--it might be a really busy week or I might lose internet access somehow, but I think it'd be fun to try for a while.

Anyway, post "yeas" or "nays" or "yea, but leave me out of the summary" in comments.

D00d! they're clever and good and funny and useful. Also, so so so so much work, enit?

Thank you for doing that one. I look forward to reading many more!

It was actually kinda entertaining doing the one, and I figured if I do a short one each day the week will kinda build itself without a three-hour reading and summarizing session.

Well, you wouldn't be able to read entries you're filtered out of anyway, so no worries there.

But yes, that was amusing!

I was actually thinking more along the lines of entries where I'm not outside the filter, but a filter exists. For instance, you post that you hate your boss, or that you're thinking of divorcing your spouse inside your friends filter, never intending for your boss/spouse to see it, and I repeat it for the general public.

To prevent that, if I see a lock on an entry, it doesn't go in the summary.

Ah, that makes sense.

I would definitely like to see more of theses, and don't mind being in one when I actually post Real Content(TM).

I got such a kick out of the one you did. I'd definitely be down with doing more.

Yay! Definitely yay.

Yeah...the one you did was excellent. I'd love to see more of those.

I like to think that I'm a pretty good judge of what can and can't be repeated for the general public, but my wife would probably disagree with me. I'd prefer to err on the side of discretion in any case, so you'll probably be included less than you otherwise might.

Anyone else with a friends-only LJ: You'll need to opt-in here to be included in the summary. I won't risk inadventently repeating something that wasn't originally posted for public consumption.

Yea. I thought it was a delightful post. That this might've been in part because YOU MENTIONED ME is only slightly embarrassing.

I was very entertained. I filter most of my entries, but there's the occasional unlocked one.

Yea!
