One of the sacrifices I'm going to make when changing jobs is giving up this nifty dual-core laptop. Assuming they pay me my accrued vacation time, I should have enough to replace it with something, but I'm not so keen on moving to Vista, so I'm thinking Mac. Opinions? Will there be migration issues getting music files (already in iTunes) transferred over?

I'm very, very happy with my MacBook. I've only had it for 3 weeks, but still!

I had no problem migrating files from my very old desktop PC to the Mac. PC iTunes to Mac iTunes was probably the easiest part of the transfer.

Yes! Get a Mac! On the off chance you do need Windows for something, your Mac can run it. Otherwise, OSX is a lovely OS and it wants to be your friend.

I don't know nuthin' about nuthin' as you are aware, but I really, REALLY like my MAC. I have a newer PC at work, and my hand me down MAC could rip it to shreds. AND, if we sucessfully can upgrade to a current MAC system--Tiger or the new and improved Jaguar, we may never need to leave the house again.
