fancycwabsJust so you don't think our play was an unabashed success, I present a differing viewpoint from some stranger on LiveJournal found via searching " 'measure for measure' memphis" in google blog search. We reportedly would have given Shakespeare a heart attack, but the author wouldn't offer any further details.
Note--no politicians showed up tonight. It was a high school extra credit assignment from a bunch of kids who completely fell asleep. By the end of Act I they had piled up on each other so that they resembled nothing quite so much as hamsters in a terrarium. If we managed to make an impact on one or two of the thirty or so, maybe we've done the community a service.
