Show's over--
Mar. 12th, 2006 09:45 pmThe final matinee performance was today; after a mad dash from the theatre the actor who played Angelo and I were the only actors left to help with strike, which was actually pretty quick. With more tools than there were hands to use them (for once) all the unscrewing went by like a flash and all that was left was getting stuff back to the shop. Penance for missing an entrance last night, I guess.
With the exception of shows that are just awful experiences (as opposed to awful shows), I always end up a little depressed after it's all over. Especially with this cast, only three of whom I'd worked with before in any capacity, and all of whom I'd love to work with again. Of course, they'll be having auditions for another play very soon, but I'm sworn to secrecy as to its identity.
In any case I'm sad and exhausted and relieved and glad to have a little more free time for the next couple of weeks (when Fiddler on the Roof kicks off).
