Now is as good a time as any to profess my allegiance to Jonathan Coulton, and my willingness to put on a black "Security" T-shirt and stand in front of the performance area at a smallish bar or bookstore with my arms folded and glare menacingly at the crowd and forcefully remove anyone who tries to come on stage.

That said, his most recent entry in his weekly song series is about zombies. It's much better than either the Cranberries' song or John Fogerty's song. Everyone (except alphadavenport, who has already been informed) is politely requested to check it out.

Other links in this entry worth checking out--the bits about Hodgman (check out the Daily Show clip on Greenspan) and the Brandon Bird illustrations. Oh, and Baby Got Back, of course.

This weekend was the indie Memphis film festival. I didn't go--I'm sure it was fantastic though.

Tomorrow, however, we're going to catch Divine Manipulation of the Threads at Studio on the Square, as we know at least three people in it: one of Amy's coworkers, a cast member from Measure for Measure, and the guy who does the entertainment listings in the Commercial Appeal. The trailer (a couple of clicks from the blog page--main blog page, Rusted Sun films page, download the trailer) makes it out to be a no-budget Tarantino heist comedy knockoff, which is probably accurate inasmuch as Tarantino never did a heist comedy. Maybe Tarantino filtered through Kevin Smith.

In any case, I'm praying that it's good, as I have a hard time lying to people about the quality of their work.
