Goose Pillows!
May. 26th, 2006 06:31 pmLast night's role-doubling went off with only minor difficulties: Yenta (Madeleine) referred to me as "Mordcha" in one line and "Avram" in another, and I was dancing onstage when I should have been offstage getting bottles for the bottle dance (no harm done, but I think Tevye (Dave) was a little pissed about it, since he barked "get the bottles" under his breath while I was on my way out to get 'em). That, and a little paraphrasing.
At the moment, I'm not sure if the official Mordcha is back, or if I get to repeat that performance tonight for my parents.
In other news, tomorrow I'm getting up early (for a Saturday) for a rehearsal of John Boatner's new oratorio based on the biblical story of Ruth. Boatner is (among other things) the lobby pianist at the Peabody Hotel, and I need to remember to ask him if it's hard to play with a duck walking on your piano. Sometime in the middle of June we'll be recording the piece, which will be released internationally. Updates as they come!
