krispy kreme sundae
Jul. 11th, 2006 11:55 amThe air conditioner was off at work today (to get it working I'm told they need a crane to lift a 350 lb motor to the top of the building), and because the heat was making the server fail and us miserable we got most of the day off.
I took a long lunch with Ed at The Grove Grill. He had a burger (which looked good for a burger at an upscale restaurant), and I had the mushroom-leek soup and a Southern Caesar salad (it had ham and "grit croutons" which are fine when warm and gross when cold). Since it was the first time there for both of us, we perused the dessert menu (I don't normally order dessert), and when the dessert pictured was listed naturally we had to order it. After all, how often do you get grilled doughnuts?
