Vote Early! Not so much often.
Nov. 3rd, 2006 07:53 amEarly voting in Tennessee, and I stood in line for an hour and a half to vote against people. People like Bob Corker and Marsha Blackburn.
Also to vote against a "defense of marriage" amendment to the constitution. As if homosexuals marrying could do more to damage the institution of marriage than we straight folks have.
Considering the subject matter, I consider it a fun bit of irony to have no political signs within twenty yards of the polling place door, and this

just outside the voting booth. I guess that's what happens when you vote in a Pentecostal church.
For the record, I voted NO on the gay marriage amendment, NO on the property tax amendment (when the last clause is "or whatever we want" I tend to vote that way), Phil Bredesen for Governor, Harold Ford for Senate, Bill Morrison for Congress, myself for the uncontested State Senate seat, Keith McDonald for mayor, just closed my eyes and touched the screen at random for aldermen.
