Memphis is not pedestrian-friendly.
Jan. 11th, 2007 11:09 amMy car's been in the body shop for the past couple of days getting the door repaired (back from the laptop window incident so after work I've been walking to various taverns near work to wait for Amy to come pick me up.
Monday I had a friend haul me to the Flying Saucer for beer, rocket tots, and the BCS "championship," where I came to realize that he's significantly better at darts than I am.
Tuesday I walked down to Dan McGuinness for trivia night, were my shining moments were knowing what character was played by Rupert Grint, and which actor played 'Mater in Cars. We still lost on the final question.
Wednesday I was heading to the Brookhaven Pub, but instead caught a passing bus and ended up at Cafe Ole instead, as that's 100 yards where from the church where Amy's directing her show.
I'm supposed to get my car back today, which should cut down on the beer consumption somewhat.
