The best thing about my new bookcase:
Oct. 31st, 2007 03:45 pmWhen I started this job six months ago, one of the first things that they ordered for me was a bookcase, which arrived five months ago in a box to be assembled when I had the time. Today I finally had the time.
There are styrofoam particles all around my office, and I put the back on upside-down (there's a faint line of text at the bottom of the panel that says "TOP"), but all things being equal it was a successful furniture-assembly experience, even with the leftover parts. Sorry Office Depot, but I'm not going to search for a more-than-likely metal stud just because you're scared of a huge lawsuit if I'm stupid enough to pull a bookcase over on myself.
The best thing, as always, were the instructions, which provided me with this lovely userpic which means "Cool Elvis shades will protect your eyes from laser beams, bullets, and other linearly-moving objects."
