I downloaded and installed the iPhone 2.0 software and a whole bunch of free apps this evening, including Remote, Exposure, Twitterrific, Urbanspoon, Loopt, PhoneSaber, Midomi, and the Google and Facebook standalone applications. Also Super Monkey Ball.
They're all varying degrees of cool, but for a theatre person there's nothing quite so much fun as Midomi, where you sing into your phone and it tries to name what you're singing, based on a database of other people singing (mostly badly), acapella. Which naturally inspired me to check out the website where that was taking place midomi.com.
I haven't sung anything yet, but I'm sure nobody will have any problems guessing my username.
(Remote: also very cool)
