*sigh* Not that I'm really one to talk, but why is it human nature to want to see people worse off than you currently are? Is our country really that far down in the shitter that our basis of comparison is not how well we're doing, but how poorly we're not doing? That the only way we can feel good about ourselves is by ensuring that someone else is doing worse than we are?
I will be interested to see what the republican response to a win by Obama is. I'm also scared to death that McCain will pull out a win somehow. Although the engineer in me is interested in seeing how much more this country can take before ultimately failing - after all, it's not like they'll be able to blame the previous president this time.
