In an effort to keep her not completely pissed off at me, I generally avoid mentioning the minutia of Mrs. Cwab's life here, but this afternoon she showed me something she'd been working on and it was too nice not to share.
She's having her adult directorial debut in a couple of weeks with The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspre (Abridged) with a new startup theatre company in town (it'll be their second show), and has been pulling everything together as they don't have a lot of folks for things like set construction, props, costumes, etc., in addition to telling the actors what to do. I've been kinda standing clear, so I can give her an opinion of the show without having been involved. Also, I tend to second-guess directors a lot, which wouldn't sit well with her.
Still, today she went ahead and showed me her poster/program cover design, and I thought it was unequivocally great--not the great that you feel for a mediocre song just because your kid's singing it, but actually awesome.

There are a few changes she's got in the works--mostly adding a sponsor and a few artistic changes (the girl at the top is supposed to be wearing a jester's hat, and one of the actors at the bottom should have a mustache), but having seen a bunch of posters recently that do absolutely nothing for me, I think this one captures the spirit of the show pretty well.
