fancycwabsOne of the fun things that a couple of the folks in the Measure for Measure cast do at the final weekend cast party is a drink contest: Take a phrase from the show, name a drink after it, and have a contest to make the best drink with that name. This show's drink is a "Virgin Violator."
My recipe:
2 oz. pomegranate juice
1 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
1 1/2 oz vodka
orange twist
It exists, at the moment, only in my head. Amy suggested something with blue curacao, but my experiment with that (pineapple juice, curacao, vodka) wasn't so hot. I also briefly considered a beverage with dry ice.
I'll post the winning recipe tomorrow!
UPDATE: This WAS the winning entry. Um, by default, as no one else bothered to make a drink. But still, it was tasty, if a little too sweet. Less orange next time, more pomegranate.
