• While at lunch today, I noticed that a fellow diner was wearing a shirt that read: "Social welfare reverses evolution." Which is sad, frightening, and funny, in that the people who oppose evolution the most also oppose welfare.


• It appears that some local theatre tech folk have been fired from their theatre tech jobs for using "noose-like knots" to tie up spare fly rope. Ordinarily I'd be supportive of the theatre techs in question, but based on various things I know, one of them is pretty racist, and probably shot off his mouth when told to take them down, resulting in both his, his boss', and his coworker's terminations. Details as I find 'em out, which may not ever happen.


• While driving by Fagioli's (the crappy Italian fast-food place) today, I noticed they were advertising an "Italian Beef Submarino," and I wanted to weep for the English and Italian languages.
