Things from the weekend:
Nov. 12th, 2007 10:00 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Saturday afternoon, I changed lanes quickly in front of a old Dodge SUV full of crips (if the blue head scarves meant anything), who proceeded to honk at me incessantly at a traffic light, wave their pistols around menacingly, and pretend to get out of the car to come and shoot me--then after the light changed, they tried to run me off the road. I took down their license number, but I think Mrs. Cwabs deleted it from my cell phone yesterday.
This, naturally, leaves me as bachelor father to upset girl whose ex-boyfriend will unDOUBTedly come over at some point this week to try to take advantage of her emotional instability, while I'm away at rehearsal. Maybe I should just get the restraining order now. Anyone have any idea what sort of rigamarole that would involve?

The little cwab's boyfriend broke up with her on Saturday. She's distraught, because he was such a complete and utter prick, and therefore she loved him like no other sixteen-year-old has ever loved and her chances for future happiness are OVER forever. Also, it's apparently our fault.° ° °
Saturday and Sunday were auditions and callbacks for Room Service at Theatre Memphis. I believe I stand a pretty good chance of playing Sasha, the Russian waiter/actor. He has but a few scenes, but they have the potential to be hilarious, as does the rest of the show. Keep everything crossed!° ° °
Mrs. Cwabs is in Los Aahngeles for a week of training on Unigraphics something something. She's mostly unfamiliar with the area, but wants to play tourist at some point this week. Any ideas on what she ought to visit, beyond the main stuff? This, naturally, leaves me as bachelor father to upset girl whose ex-boyfriend will unDOUBTedly come over at some point this week to try to take advantage of her emotional instability, while I'm away at rehearsal. Date: 2007-11-12 04:27 pm (UTC)I turned out ok, after all. :P
(Seriously, there is no amount of money in the world that would make me go back to being 16.)

Date: 2007-11-12 07:19 pm (UTC)Seeing as how I was once an overly dramatic pup with a several broken hearts, she is very likely to do something desperate and stupid to get his attention and end up more hurt than before.
Except your little Cwab is far smarter than her auntie ever was. Both in intelligence and in street. Perhaps she's not into talking with anyone right now, but she might be into talking to someone here and there. Just listen. Remind her that you are willing to listen if she wants to talk and that you love her.
Mrs. Cwabs and you make sure to read all those bulletins that she posts. There's lots of information in them.

Date: 2007-11-12 07:27 pm (UTC)I tried talking to her auntie who might have more experience than I about this yesterday (or saturday; I can't remember), but discovered that said auntie rarely answers her phone and almost never returns phone calls.

Date: 2007-11-12 07:41 pm (UTC)Still I am sorry that your weekend pretty much sucked. It always seems to happen when Mrs. Cwab is away, way far away. At least the little Cwab is out of school for most of the week next week.
Cell phones aren't aloud at school are they? She can put a block on his number on her cell phone, but she'd need to make that choice so it doesn't appear that you're making it for her.
I "defriended" her on myspace because of all the bulletins and everytime I tried to send her a comment or something funny and auntie, my computer would crash.

Date: 2007-11-12 07:52 pm (UTC)Which it may, but with ex-boyfriend continuing to try to push buttons there needs to be a counterbalancing influence.

Date: 2007-11-12 08:13 pm (UTC)Lemme just say . . .
Date: 2007-11-13 02:56 am (UTC)So I had 2 restraining orders against me for a year. I didn't violate either of them, so I was fine.
I even got thrown out of a bar within that year and was asked by a female officer if I was aware of the restraining orders still pending against me.
"Yes," I said, "That's why I haven't called them."
Anyway. It was fine. It's over. And it's supposably off my record since I didn't violate it.
That's my experience, for what it's worth.
