My WoW story.
Dec. 15th, 2007 04:25 pmIn the Blelf 10-20 zone, The Ghostlands, there's a haunted tower that you're given instructions to clear out so many ghosts and so many acolytes, and come back for some moneys. What they don't tell you is that one of the acolytes has in his possession a necklace that once belonged to the queeeeen of the undeeeaaaad, and once you get hold of it everyone pretty much figures she'd be appreciative if you'd give it back to her, which means you get to hop on the teleporter to the Undercity, ride the elevator down, and run through the city-planners-nightmare maze of concentric rings in order to get to her chamber, where there are all sorts of folks hanging out most of the time.
She's not particularly friendly, either, but when you give her her long-lost necklace, something strange happens:

There's an actual musical number. With backup singers. I am not kidding, and the picture you see before you has only been photoshopped in the sense that I cropped it so it wasn't freakin' huge.
(Okay--maybe it was a little staged. She sings in Elvish or something, so I offered a translation based on the presence of The Spectral Pips)
She tells you to take her necklace to The Sepulchre, the worst town ever to be graced with a batport, especially considering that it's surrounded by werewolves.
