Other than [livejournal.com profile] annicat, it appears that nobody I know uses Google Reader for anything, so I'm probably shouting in the wind here, but here goes.

Google Reader has modified a few things to make a kind of "selective blogroll." If I find a post on one of my feeds interesting, or amusing, I can click to share it, and if [livejournal.com profile] annicat or anybody else would care to see what I'm reading, and they use Google Reader and know my email address (which all of my friendslist do, I presume), they can see what of the various and sundry stuff I read I found worthy of sharification. It's significantly more convenient than LiveJournal entries that say "look at this," and it would be kinda handy if more folks were signed up to use it, just so I could see what you folks found interesting with a minimum of actual, you know, effort.

Also, I know there are more tech-savvy folks out there using RSS feeds for their reading pleasure. What are you guys using? Can we cross-pollenate our blogrolls?

I guess they could be using Bloglines or My Yahoo! or something. Or just go to lots of different web pages every single day to see what's new. Some of the more prolific feeds (Boing Boing, for instance) I send directly to my Google home page instead of to Reader, as it would undoubtedly clutter things up.

You, iPhone owner and GMail user, were made for this. You already have a reader account, thanks to your GMail account--all you have to do is start clicking on the ol' RSS icons in whatever browser you're using (after going to Reader one time to tie in your GMail address), bookmark the reader page on your phone, and you will never again be at a loss for information, or entertainment, wherever you are.

Yeah, I've been playing around with it all day at work today. Looks interesting - I've already got it set up, and expect I'll be using it daily from now on.

And I see that we've made separate contact, and now you can read what I deem worthy of other folks attention! Awesome!

Now, if we can get a few more folks on the train, all sorts of discoveries might emerge.

That sounds vaguely pornographic.
