The cyberport area's kinda cool: Video monitors to tell you where you are in the complex a view of the Pacific most places, digital media centers and teleconferencing and what not. Members of our group are disappointed in the lack of hookers at the hotel bar, like you might find in a less-reputable establishment.

Went to The Peak yesterday, and of all the possible locations to have lunch, we collectively decide that the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is the finest alternative (the collective mind apparently doesn't include mine). It wasn't bad, but I can get "not bad" food most anyplace. Except the place we had lunch today, where the soup with rice noodles and brisket chunks, which ended up having spaghetti instead of rice noodles. And the burger tonight had beets on it.

We did find a nice pub in Soho last night after the trip to the peak, where they had Doombar and Budvar and Belhaven Lager and a number of other beers you can't find easily stateside, with cricket matches on the television and actual Britons.

There are photos, of course. It's too foggy/smoggy to get any good landscapes during the day, unfortunately, but there are interesting shots nonetheless.

I forgot to bring the phone charger, so I'm practically unreachable by phone, but I'm on Skype in the room (rdcooper) if anyone feels like tawking. It's 7:20 am in Memphis right now, and 9:20 pm in Hong Kong for you to get an idea of the time difference.
