It's Max Bialystock's latest show...
May. 5th, 2006 01:36 pmLast night was preview (it went well, except for Golde nearly breaking her leg running into a bench offstage), which means tonight is opening night! Finally!
* * *
Yesterday the three daughters did a publicity bit singing "Matchmaker" at Peabody Place for the morning news (not the one with the alleged kiddy rapist), which I didn't catch, live, but Amy downloaded to her computer from the TV website. We watched it last night after the show, and noticed that beside the show was the following text:
Presented are Tzeitel, Hodel, and Chava from Playhouse on the Square's production of Fiddler on The Roof...most women are wearing the wrong bra size...
Well, I was amused, anyway.
* * *
The director stuck a note on the callboard saying that we were welcome to provide headshots and resumes for future casting (in New York, I suppose). It provides an opportunity to indulge a fantasy of running off and becoming a star on Broadway, but frankly that requires a level of talent, training, and charisma that I don't possess.
I think Amy's sending him our resumes and headshots anyway. 'Cause you never know.
