I wouldn't probably do these things on a regular basis, the way [livejournal.com profile] piemancer does (to her credit), but this month it's reached meme status, and there are plenty of changes to report, so:

Home:
I'm living alone in a big empty house, made somewhat emptier by this weekend's departure of half the furniture. Several rooms are in need of a good solid cleaning. It's too far from everything fun, but it's a nice place to live. The lawn looks nice, and the flowerbeds need to be completely ripped out and replaced with something worthwhile, which I think I'll do in early November.
To be repaired: Carpet in dining room (I'm thinking replace with hardwood, which means some saving first), holes in garage wall, holes in stairway wall, big hole in ceiling, one door, including doorframe.
I still want to build a fence for the backyard.

Work:
Neither terribly creative nor intellectually demanding, but it pays the bills. Which is good. I have a week and a half of vacation to take before the year's out.

Relationships:
After seven and a half years of marriage, mostly pleasant, I'm becoming a divorcee. Mrs. Cwabs took the bulk of her furniture from the house over the weekend, and the little Cwab, after some prodding, moved out. There is still a matter of paperwork, and a few combined bills to separate (cell phone and car insurance), but I think that compared to a lot of others, it's been a relatively trauma-free experience. I hope that the future former Mrs. Cwabs will find what she's looking for.

Skipping my 20-year high school reunion to do Sweeney Todd. Would probably have skipped it in any case, because like almost everything else associated with high school, it seems a little too much like a moneymaking venture for a professional reunion company than an honest gathering of friends. It's not as if I'm difficult to locate.

Biofamily:
Well. One of my nieces reportedly scored the winning goal at the soccer game over the weekend, causing great rejoicing and a complete shutdown of Atlanta traffic for the victory celebrations. Parents took a trip to New Orleans over the weekend to celebrate Dad's and Uncle's birthday and Uncle's 20th wedding anniversary. Dad's birthday is today, incidentally, so happy birthday if he's reading this.

Mental State:
Fine, I guess. Maybe it's not hit, or maybe it's hit and passed, or maybe I'm not affected the way I was in my younger days, but the divorce isn't creating a great deal of self-pity and feelings of worthlessness the way previous relationship terminations did. I may be too busy to feel sorry for myself, or I may have mourned in advance.

Physical State:
Still ridiculously overweight. Need to get back to the gym, but Sweeney Todd is keeping me pretty busy in the evenings--I'll have a couple of days free a week once the show opens. A little more effort to focus on weight loss and no theatrical distractions come November might get things a little more on track.

Projects:
Appearing onstage as Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd at Theatre Memphis from October 17-November 2.
Recipe Blog in stasis. Would probably help if I started cooking more. Would help the budget, too.
Barbecue Map project proceeding slowly. 4,745 people have viewed the map, but precious few have offered comments. Map still not indexed as a "popular user-created map," for some reason, while maps with far fewer viewers are easily located.
Theatre Calendar is monotonous to maintain. Clever PR folks could make it easier for me, if they wanted to.
Still on Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, LibraryThing, LinkedIn, FriendFeed, Google Reader, Spore, countless others. While I hate the use of "friend" as a verb, anyone's welcome to friend away. Cancelled my MySpace account. Worried that I might take up WoW again in the near future.
Need to start a writing project that isn't an online journal.

Pets:
Four cats: Celeste, Red, Sascha, and Dexter. Three of those are girls, but not the three you'd think. They need to stop peeing on everything and instead spend more time in my lap.

Self-Amuse:
Books: In the process of reading The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao, Snuff, and Anathem Want to buy and start the new Dennis Lehane book, but should probably get the others off my plate first.
Television: The working TV left the house with Mrs. Cwabs, with my blessing, as I rarely if ever watched it. It'll eventually get replaced., but in the meantime, I'm halfway through watching the first season of Mad Men on my laptop, and the second season of 30 Rock comes out tomorrow, so there's that.
Podcasts: YLNT (religiously and avidly), TSOYA(occasionally), TAL(also occasionally), PaSTASSfFtTM(OA) (regularly, and would enjoy it more if the title were anywhere near remotely accurate)
Music: Financial issues have kept me blissfully out of online record stores for a couple of months now. Anyone have something worth recommending?
Games: Mostly Kingdom of Loathing--trying to get a full set of Zombo gear from Hobopolis before ascending again.

Self-Abuse:
Ha ha ha. As if LiveJournal entries weren't masturbatory enough.

Celeste, Red & Dexter are the girls, and Sascha is the boy? Or Celeste, Sascha & Dexter are the girls, and Red is the boy? Because otherwise Dexter's gotta be the boy. TELL ME I MUST KNOW.

Red's the boy. Dexter has gender identification issues, as Mrs. Cwabs didn't know what a cat scrotum looked like, apparently.

Gabe's a boy, but he's so fluffy I've never actually seen his yarbles. I just take the Vet's word on it.

Pfft. My idiot brothers once decided a cat must be female because it had nipples. I told them to look down their own shirts and tell me what they saw.
