I think I'll keep calling it that.
Aug. 4th, 2006 01:39 pmLunch today was at a new barbecue restaurant called Cocksmoker's
No, wait--it's called the Whole Hog Cafe, and it was actually very good mostly--pig three ways, beef brisket, chicken, six sauces on the side with a seventh secret searing sauce subtlely squirreled away.
Bonus--it's five minutes from work. Corky's, the "definitve" Memphis chain, is right across the street, but Corky's is kinda ordinary unless you come from somewhere where the barbecue isn't very good, like New Orleans. (Mind you, everything else in New Orleans is great, so it more than makes up for it).
What's my point? I ate too much. There. I said it.

Date: 2006-08-04 07:56 pm (UTC)I've never been to Craig's but I hear great things. One day I'm gonna take a real weekend and hit Craig's, and another weekend I'm gonna head down to Oxford to Taylor Grocery and L&M Kitchen and Salumeria.
