So tonight we went to see Noises Off at the University of Memphis, and when we came out, someone had broken my car window and stolen my work laptop, cell phone, camera, and a box of checks.

Not that this helps you, but my mom works in insurance and I've been given so many lectures about the dangers of leaving valuables in the car that the very idea of it makes me twitchy.

Well, it was a play, so it wasn't what you'd call crowded, and U of M being largely a communter college keeps the weekend traffic down quite a bit. Also, it's Memphis, where the crime is as high as a criminal's eye.
