Love is in the Air!

For Valentine's Day I got the missus some chocolate and a big ol' blanket, as she loves big ol' blankets.

This one is made of some material that really really holds a static electric charge. We spent quite a bit of time last night with the lights off making sparks. (Double entendre? Double entendre.)

In any case, the cats hate it, as it makes them extra puffy, and also impossible to pet without delivering painful shocks.

I love to wrap our long-haired cat up in the polyester throw blankets to make her poofy. The trick to avoiding shocks is to ground yourself before petting.

Is that your cat in the photo? It looks just like my mom's. Hers is half Russian blue, half unknown. That blue-gray color, but long haired.

That's one of them--she actually lives mostly on top of the dryer these days, so she's a ball of static as it is.

It's the other three cats who are having trouble with the new blanket.
