Thinking too hard about the critters one eats converts folks to vegetarianism, so if you want to remain an omnivore, for heaven's sake don't click the link about the deep-fried rabbit ears.

Now I'm gonna have nightmares.

I actually found that really intereting, and I think some of the pictures are beautiful.

It's my opinion that we *should* be bothered by the meat we eat. It makes us more responsible consumers.

I don't disagree with the idea that we should think more about the food we're putting in our bodies.

At the same time, I don't necessarily think that in order to eat a burger I should be prepared to personally butcher the cow.

Sure: that would be extreme. I'm thankful that I don't have to butcher my own food. But I'm very firm with myself to never forget where it comes from.

I mean, even when we eat vegetables, something dies.

I agree. We should know where our food comes from and be respectful of the animals that provide it. I say that having spent parts of my youth on a friend's farm (including barbecuing and chowing down on parts of a cow -a cow I knew - after watching the butchering of said cow - not the killing part, just the butchering part.)

I never feel bad about eating chickens, because I've met chickens.

That said, I have no urge to view this link. I don't eat wabbit.
