After work today I'm supposed to meet Mrs. Cwabs at Mr. Hats to pick out a hat to wear as Nathan Detroit. I asked her if I could instead pick out a hat from here, or here (lots of interesting options there). I don't think she's gonna go for it.
Wearing a hat is often a losing proposition for me, on account of my giant head full of brains, or perhaps an extra-thick skull, sized 7 7/8. When I put on a normal sized hat, I resemble Oliver Hardy, or perhaps J. Wellington Wimpy. Besides, hats impede thermal transfer from my supercooled overclocked brain and cause poor thinking.
Anyway, pictures when I finally decide what hat to get. Maybe pictures beforehand to let the internet at large decide for me.

Although that's not too small in circumference for most purposes, my head's not as tall as most people's either. So a lot of floppy-brimmed hats block my vision significantly. I'm assured that most people don't have to decide between tucking their ears under their ballcap, and jamming the hat down behind them. I have to fold and pin down the back of my good baseball cap to make it fit properly. This doesn't stop me wearing hats all the time, but I do sympathize with the need to get a good fit.)
